My interest in painting began after graduating from college. While teaching first grade in New York City I began art lessons at the Art Students League and adult education classes at NYU in the evenings. I dabbled in oils, acrylic and sculpture. Then marriage, children and work put a hold on art exploration for some time. I did not come back until I retired seven years ago. Recently, I’ve studied with Marni Maree at the Workhouse Art Center. That’s when my love for water color grew. I’ve enjoyed painting flowers, landscapes and seascapes primarily from Maine, and our family dogs.
