Davi D’Agostino
She is inspired by the juxtaposition of nature and exquisite human design. She travels extensively, often painting places from her European travels and her own prolific gardens–she paints from her photos in oils on linen canvas. She paints windows and doors, flower shops and other European scenes, as well as still life, landscapes, and pet portraits—mostly representational. Her works take the viewer by the hand with her on travels, exploring serene nooks and crannies of European villages and cities with charm and atmospheric effects. Her paintings evoke mystery, enchantment, and tranquility with a simple and direct style. She is unwaveringly a colorist, using color to express the mood and entice the viewer. Still, her style is evolving as she experiments with new palettes and techniques.
