A “Wonder”ful World

 

This show is open to all Guild members and will be shown exclusively on the Springfield Art Guild website.
All artwork has been selected by the Juror, Peter Ulrich. There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards and Honorable Mentions, which will be announced at the Zoom reception on April 26th at 3pm.

 

The theme for this show is A “Wonder”ful World. This is a chance to find or create A “Wonder”ful World. What makes a “wonder”ful world? There is wonder in many things from the small to the large and the realistic to the fantastical.

 

“Making my decisions on the submitted work was not an easy task. It is always hard not to give awards to works that are extremely close in quality and impact to those that do receive the awards. I was very impressed by so many works that I seriously considered for an award. And, I am very impressed with SAG!”

Peter Ulrich has been juried into over 150 shows, winning many awards including the highest award at the Art League of Alexandria “Large Works” show, Art League Monthly Show, and the “Best in Show” award for the annual juried show at the Mattawoman Creek Art Center. He has won awards at the Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Exhibit and has been accepted into the National Watercolor Society Annual Competition. His work has hung in numerous galleries and corporate venues in the mid-Atlantic region, in New England and in Oxford, England.

Peter has served as President of the Potomac Valley Watercolorists, Vice-President of the Art League of Alexandria and as Board member of those organizations and has served as Chair of the Bin Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art League Gallery. He is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Baltimore Watercolor Society and the Potomac Valley Watercolorists.

He is currently teaching online watercolor at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia and at The Harmony Hall Regional Center in Fort Washington, Maryland.
